Brand identity
The cultural and mythical symbols of ancient Iran as well as the national symbols of Australia are the cornerstones of Iran-Australia's brand. Lion has always represented strength over history. In Achaemenid petroglyphs this symbol has been considered as the guardian of Iran's culture realm and was used to show majesty, glory and richness of Persian civilization.
As you can see in Figure 1, the lion used in Iran-Australia's logo has been adapted from Achaemenid Persian Lion Rhyton.
Many people might think of The Sydney Opera House as the most well-known monument in Australia, but what prompted us to use kangaroo in our logo is the love that Australian people have for this unique animal. Another point is the static composition combined with curved lines which creates a sense of dynamics and shows the power of a lion and agility of a kangaroo.
Many see the right half of the logo as the tail of the lion so the kangaroo is not recognized. As you can see in Figure 2, by paying a little bit of attention the moving kangaroo can be seen in the logo.
